Do you manage FileMaker Server 13 and higher ? Well, we just released a simple tool, where you can easily manage multiply FMS13, thanks to the new HTML5 admin console, and native FileMaker. This is completely unlocked, native and free for you to use, modify or extend.
Here is a couple of small things:
• For use with FMP13 and higher only • If your server does not have a valid certificate, you should first go to your browser and connect. • When you get the warning, make sure to approve this certificate always. Then your computer will save that setting and you will be able to connect in the tool. • Only enter the servers address or ip. No http or path needed • Click on username and password fields, will copy the values, so you could just paste in the admin console login window. If you like it, please let us know. • Note: A custom certificate must be installed on the server – or – you need to approve an exception in your web browser.
NOTE: We have released a much more interesting FileMaker Server Admin tool; FMS_AdminDT, with a native iPad companion app. The FMS_AdminDT tool is released on this site for FREE ! Access here

We have again created a video with Richard Carlton at FileMaker Training Videos. This time, we show how you can create a great dynamic navigation system with the use of the new Button Bar object in FileMaker 14. The idea with this navigation system is that you insert the button bar onto all the layouts in your solution, where you need the navigation. Then, via a simple script, you determinate which buttons should be available at any time. When you need to add another module to your solution, just add 2 values in the script and the navigation will automatically work, without you having to replace the button bar on all layouts.
Please give us your feedback on this free technique file and video.

Now you get an even smarter way of managing your SVG icons, and a very smart and easy way to get a collection of icons, directly into the icons palette within your FileMaker solution.
The SVG Gallery tool works by importing your icons, taking the content of SVG files directly into a text field. From there, you can process all found icons to add the needed class in order to allow FileMaker 14 to control the color of the icon. Now, in order to get a collection of icons into the icon palette in your solution, there is now a very smart way to do so, using the SVG Gallery tool.
Simply find the icons, you want in the gallery, do an optionally sorting, press a button and the function will now generate a buttonbar object, containing a segment for each of the found icons, with an icon on each. This buttonbar will be placed on the clipboard. Now you just go to your solution and paste that buttonbar object. You can delete it again immediately after you have pasted it, as FileMaker will already have copied all the icons into the icon palette of that solution file.
Here is the video we did with Richard Carlton from www.learningfilemaker.com.
Short video will explain what the SVG format is about and how to use this tool.
This is a short preview of the SVG Gallery tool v.2
